Got the Wacom tablet and have been coloring with it. Not sure if I've been making the progress I've been wanting, but at least I've been working on it. Right now I have a "painting" in the works. It's takin' me a long time to get everything laid down. And I have no idea what to use for a background.
My question is: how do these artists that work for gaming companies and the like churn this stuff out so fast and so much that looks so good? I mean, I know it takes years to get good at coloring, but come on, these are incredibly detailed paintings. These have to take awhile. I mean, are these folks doing nothing but sleep, eat and art?
No wonder I lag behind at my age. I have other things goin' on like reading, work (a non-art job), a girlfriend and World of Warcraft. Not makin' excuses. Just stating what's there.
